Huawei made an official announcement about the global introduction of their latest smartphone aimed at the mid-market, named Nova 12i. Along with this, they also shared news about the launch of two upgraded versions related to the same model.
The lineup includes three distinct models: Nova 12i, Nova 12s, and Nova 12 SE. The Nova 12i introduces a new and innovative option for consumers. The Nova 12s, an upgrade of the previous Nova 11, now sports a unique blue badge. Finally, the device previously recognized as the Nova 11 SE has been renamed to Nova 12 SE.
The Nova 12i smartphone emerges packed with a vast array of functionalities, outlined as follows:
- It showcases a vibrant 6.7-inch screen, delivering sharp, Full HD+ visuals and smooth motion with a refresh rate of 90 Hz.
- At the heart of the phone is a Snapdragon 680 LTE processor, enhanced with 8GB of RAM. Users have the option to select from 128GB or 256GB for storage space.
- The phone's design is highlighted by a large, round camera setup on the back, featuring a 108-megapixel main camera for capturing detailed images, a 2-megapixel camera for depth information, and a LED light for low-light situations. A punch-hole houses an 8-megapixel camera at the front for selfies.
- Its battery life is robust, powered by a 5000 mAh battery that supports fast charging up to 40 watts through Huawei's SuperCharge system. This technology allows a swift recharge of up to 62% in just half an hour.
- The design is modern, with sleek, flat sides. The power button on the right side doubles as a fingerprint reader, sitting just below the volume buttons for easy access.
- The device runs on EMUI 14, based on Android Open Source Project, making it user-friendly and customizable.
- For connectivity, it offers Bluetooth 5.0 and Wi-Fi a/b/g/n/ac, ensuring high-speed connections and data transfer.
- Available in elegant green and black color options, the Nova 12i also comes with a 40-watt charging brick, ensuring that users can make the most out of the fast-charging capability right out of the box.
