Microsoft is weaving artificial intelligence into every part of Windows, and adding Copilot into its system is one of the biggest moves they've made lately. At first, this news spread far and wide. But the story has evolved, and the latest news shows that Windows 11's Photo app will be getting some new tools powered by artificial intelligence.
Recent
rumors swirling around have hinted at the upcoming AI enhancements for familiar
apps like Camera, Paint, and Photos, and it seems those rumors are true.
Microsoft is set to introduce artificial intelligence features into these
programs. Paint, previously known as "Cocreator", was the first hint
of these enhancements turning into a reality.
This scoop
came to light thanks to PhantomOcean3 on X, previously known as Twitter. They
shared some early insights and screenshots showcasing what to expect, even
before an official statement was made.
Looking
forward, the update carrying these AI capabilities is labeled as
2024.11030.22001.0. Those using Windows 11 and waiting to update their Photos
app should go ahead with the update to not miss out. With this step, it's worth
noting the substantial progress being made with AI integration into these
applications.

The Photos app in Windows 11 now includes a special feature where
Copilot helps users make, find, or pick backgrounds using pictures. You can
find this option on a sidebar where Copilot is.
What's really interesting about adding Copilot to the Photos app is it
lets the app understand what's in pictures, like people or things, because it
uses a tool that can read pictures (OCR). This means you can cut out people or
things from a picture and put them somewhere else in that same picture.
This update brings the Photos app closer to what you can do on phones,
like Androids or iPhones, with smart technology. We're looking forward to
seeing more smart features like this in Windows 11.
